Digital Humanities
Digital Humanities is a disruptive perspective that proposes an innovative way of understanding culture, behavior, and technology in the digital age for the design of people-centered solutions.

An Innovative Field
Digital Humanities is a discipline that has been difficult to define in recent years. However, if we look for a common thread, it could be described as the way to incorporate methodological and outreach possibilities into the social sciences and humanities, hand in hand with computer science and digital tools.
For the LAB, it's about rethinking our relationship with technology in a critical and ethical way, in the face of an era that seeks digital transformation and collaborative innovation. We see technology as a means to create meaningful experiences for people and ensure accessible solutions for everyone.
How do we do Digital Humanities?
Building digital solutions in our LAB involves generating knowledge with users in mind, conducting applied research to create innovative solutions, using computer systems to safeguard and redistribute culture, and managing the cultural and social sphere with digital tools that guarantee profound transformation and social value.
What does a Digital Humanities project consist of?
1. Applied Research
We conduct mixed-methods research, considering key theoretical concepts, previous interventions, and listening to the target audiences to ensure coherence between the objective and the future users of the digital solution.
Strategy Ideation
We meet for participatory brainstorming sessions where we define the humanistic question, data collection, knowledge dissemination, and technological needs.
3. Development and Validation
We build a user-centered digital solution. We conduct an internal evaluation of the tools created and correct errors in the visualization or databases.
